On ElementryOs, starting qb64 gives the following warnings:

Code: QB64: [Select]
  1. me@me-VirtualBox:~/Downloads/qb64$ ./run_qb64.sh
  2. me@me-VirtualBox:~/Downloads/qb64$ OpenGL Warning: glXChooseVisual: bad attrib=0x186a0, ignoring
  3. OpenGL Warning: glXChooseVisual: bad attrib=0x186a1, ignoring
  4. OpenGL Warning: glXChooseVisual: bad attrib=0x186a0, ignoring
  5. OpenGL Warning: glXChooseVisual: bad attrib=0x186a1, ignoring
  6. OpenGL Warning: vboxCall failed with VBox status code VERR_BUFFER_OVERFLOW

Things still start and run, however.  I just thought I'd share in case anybody had an idea what these were for and why they show up.

Missed one:

OpenGL Warning: No pincher, please call crStateSetCurrentPointers() in your SPU

This is programming; we don't care about warnings, only errors ;)

On a more serious note,  would you mind changing the topic name to something a more informative and less scary?

Better?

I guess I'm just odd; the other topic name "QB64 start warning" seemed just as good and informative to me. After all, it is nothing more than a start warning...

I just thought I'd mention it as today's warnings are often tomorrow's errors.  A little heads up in advance.  ;)

If that's not a "real" quote yet then it is now! Instant gold. Worthy of the Unix museum if you ask me.
You're not done when it works, you're done when it's right.

If this was a quote contest, I'd say your submission would come in 137th, but to a theoretical physicist, that's  better than #1.

and to a quantum physicist it can be both 137th and #1 at the same time!
