Most Contributions to Programs
« on: May 01, 2020, 09:30:04 am »
As part of my Library activities, I have looked into the number of project submissions in Programs (Inform programs not included).  Those who have more than 1 project are as follows:

bplus   131
SMcNeill   87
[banned user]   53
SierraKen   46
ron77   32
Ashish   30
FellippeHeitor   29
STxAxTIC   29
Petr   28
Qwerkey   26
Cobalt   19
Richard Frost   19
SirCrow   19
Donald Foster   15
TerryRitchie   14
eoredson   13
Zeppelin   13
Dav   12
TempodiBasic   11
RhoSigma   9
keybone   8
PMACKAY   8
_vince   8
rcamp48   7
romichess   7
codeguy   6
Craz1000   6
qbguy   5
AndyA   4
dajan   4
doppler   4
luke   4
MrFreyer   4
mynameispaul   4
qb4ever   4
Qbee   4
Dragoncat   3
jack   3
johnno56   3
Lefty   3
OldMoses   3
pforpond   3
40wattstudio   2
Aeveus   2
Chris80194   2
euklides   2
FilipeEstima   2
hanness   2
Omerta7486   2
Parkland   2
Pete   2
petoro   2
Prithak   2
roadbloc   2
TrialAndTerror   2
xra7en   2

As expected, we see bplus and Steve dominating things.  There is no account of how long members have been enrolled, of course.  I shall want to bias Library entries somewhat along the lines of contributions, and clearly bplus and Steve are heavily under-represented at present.

Awesome research qwerkey - invaluable.

But no bias. We provide tools based on their utility, not on their author.

@STxAxTIC By utility, certainly.  But the distribution will guide where to look (using our agreed rules) - I do not intend a mathematical correlation!

There probably won't be a correlation - we are basically an ad hoc corporation where the square root of the number of members do 50% of the total work.

@Pete Your award is on its way and is a romantic evening with the star of Miss Congeniality.  Enjoy your time with William Shatner.

I am thankful my recursive program merge routine was included in INFORM. Not so flashy, but useful. I am hopeful my tested, verified and correct sorting library finds its way to QB64 samples as it will help prevent reinventing the wheel for many. Should something akin to the catastrophe that befell qb64 dot net happen, at least it will be preserved for present and future qb64 coders. But thanks for the unsung nod to my effforts. -- Codey Guy.

Also a thank you to those who contributed cool demos of qb64 power and flexibility. That Pi in the Sky demo was sorta cool. As many demos as are being posted, I think an archive of these downloadable as zip or 7z should be made of The Librarian selections. I was a bit dismayed at the gravity of loss incurred by qb64 dot net failure. What a shame all that history erased in the blink of an eye.

He's Qwerkey - give him time.

Actually I've been wanting to address you Unseen - Jon is it? Been eyeballing your stuff for years and would love to feature a few things. I know that GDK is rather huge in your local universe - maybe some of our game makers would find similar potential?

If you don't mind, let us know what you want featured (i.e. whatever version of whatever project that is stable and locked in time) - just make it super-dumb-simple for us to assimilate. Make a whole new thread about yourself and your stuff; it won't be seen as vain.
You're not done when it works, you're done when it's right.

Already shipped. And because you bought it at the Buy It Now price, I included a Tribble pocket vibrator, at no extra charge. Is that a tribble in your pants, or are you just happy!

That's the trouble with tribbles ... you can never be sure.

@Unseen Machine As STxAxTIC says, even though you are not on this list (as you only have one project, as yet, in the Programs section of .org), you are on my list and we definitely will feature your stuff in Samples/Games.  Again to echo STxAxTIC, Qwerkey is SLOW so no timescale given.
