Problem with taking a break
« on: June 15, 2019, 02:17:07 pm »
This is not a big deal but is anyone else experiencing this with qb64x64 v 1.3 - seems like every time I take a break and leave my coding on screen my mouse refuses to respond. It's like the work page froze. Original thought it was low battery in the mouse but that's not it. There a few times where multiple clicks of the mouse did seem to wake it up but more often than not I had to use Esc to wake it. I don't seem to have the same freeze effect in qb64x32. The x64 version seems to do it when I take long breaks - making a new pot of coffee, taking long winded phone calls - so I haven't actually timed to see how long before the freeze up, nor have I really lost anything.

Yes Petr, I do have a Logitech mouse. That is likely what is happening, odd I haven't experienced it before. Thanks

I don't see that behavior here. 1.3 on Windows 10 64 bit. I do get up and leave my desk and if I come back and start coding, the IDE is responsive.

I left mine up all night. Came out to the porch this morning, logged on, saw this message and checked the IDE. No issues here.

Hi Guys
I have QB64 1.3  ver 96937f0 and I have the same behaviour of Dimster

I use a wireless keyboard and mouse trademark Sigma and I too have this trouble when I load QB64Ide, the mouse works at moments, moreover my touchpad of my TOSHIBA is locked! Gasp! What is there to do?
Shoutdown and restart my notebook have no fortune,
then I have changed the AA into the mouse and all come back to work!

Good Coding
Programming isn't difficult, only it's  consuming time and coffee
