Just one last thought for this experiment. There is no point in dealing with it any further, I was just wondering if the algorithm works in 3d as well. On the other hand, I wondered if if you start the program for fun and a real goal to get out, you could get a sense of pretty much where we are. Numbering is not practical because it is very difficult to compare.

How lucky we are to live in a 3D world and the colors can be broken down into 3 basic colors. This is how I solved it so that our situation can be roughly inferred from the color of the walls. This helps with orientation a lot, so we can get out of a larger maze more easily. What’s more, this solution is gifted with the fact that when we get out, we can admire the combination of visible colors on the walls of the maze.
