Something Ive been wanting to say for a long while now....

I just want to say thanks and express my appreciation to the QB64 team for all you do to keep QB64 going and improving. Its amazing that you all freely devote your time to do this.  You probably will never know how far QB64 has reached and how many people its inspired to learn programming.

Indeed. I should also reiterate my thanks periodically, or the gurus involved in this project might think they are being taken for granted. Always grateful, for making the most powerful version of QuickBasic ever better.

I can only hope that someday one of the origional developers of QBasic will join the forum, and express the same thanks for expanding upon this perfectly good programming language, which otherwise would have gone by the wayside. Oh, and probably ask Steve, in hs next post, for help with the _MEM statement, and the post after that asking how in the hell did you guys screw up the RUN (and Clear) statements.

Indeed, the developers pretty much saved me from the death of a coding hobby. The hassles of DOSbox, while a usable fall back position, wasn't helping me grow in skill, and I just never have had the gumption to learn an entirely new language. It's an amazing tool that makes me look like I know what I'm doing.

I should extend my thanks as publicly as you all are.
I hang around the Team as a strong personality, but not as a dev.
As far as I care, we are celebrating the actual workhorses of this project:

Thanks to you as well, Mark. You're a top, if not the top forum contributor when it comes to helping others with code, and providing code examples and programs. You're almost as tireless a contributor to QB64 as Trump is to America. KuDOS.

Having an active community attracts folks like Ashish (Open GL contributions) and Spriggsy (The Windows API Guy), who further expand the usefulness of this great language, and enthusiasts like Tempo, Petre, and SierraKen, who makes good use of the language to create app type games. A healthy active community also provides a place for the old guard to hang out like Dav, OldMosses, and that pain in the ascii Screen Zero Hero guy, to name a few.

I am also very grateful.
My commercial programs did not work on windows 10 or 64-bit windows and having converted them to Qb64 with access to SQL has been a great satisfaction.
The team has always helped me with the doubts I have had. A great team and a great forum!
