Update:

Re-installed the help files and the keyword index appeared... Just to make sure, I terminated QB64 and re-started, and they were gone again.... I think I need stronger coffee...

Is it an anti-virus issue, quarantining the files?

That makes sense too. But being it a Linux distro, I don't know.

Oh hey! here is a new twist.

First try Keyword Index > (no listing Pete site thing)
Then try anything else from Help menu say Contents Page > perfectly fine
Now try Keyword Index again > Perfectly Fine listing under a NEW Alphabetical Tab AND the first one (Alphabetical tab) is now also perfectly fine!

crazy gnat!

Oh hell I think I lost my Contents Page trying to repeat the experiment, dang!

Never mind, Contents Page wasn't what I remembered. I thought it had more than 3 lines.

My QB64 v 1.3 is fine with Keyword Index, so gnat resides in QB64 v1.4.

I did update all Help pages at lunch time and no change with Keyword Index.

Well... Restart. No keywords. Then selected everything else in Help (obviously one at a time and after a restart... lol) then keywords and Bingo!
You have to admit that this is funny... You need keywords and you have to select anything else other than keywords to get it... Who said QB64 doesn't have a sense of humour? lol
Logic is the beginning of wisdom.

Well you could just click on Keywords twice, that works too, it even fixes the Alphabetical tab correctly. ;-))

Or click something else and then click Keywords Index, oh you said that :P
