QB64 Discussion / Re: QB64 Bounty List

Petrol here in the UK works out at around $10.62 a gallon at current exchange rate.
If anything comes of this 'pay per fix' then I have got a few things I would like to see mainly concerning pdf files, barcodes and qrcodes.

QB64 Discussion / Re: Blurry text??
« on: February 19, 2022, 06:34:21 am »
Okay, an update from me straigt away. I just opened up QB64 x32 and QB64 x64 on the same screen. X32 was razor sharp but in a smaller window. Once I resized x32 to the same size window as x64 that too went blurry. Looks like it may be my windows driver / monitor?? I'll have a play around with the driver and see if that makes any difference.

QB64 Discussion / Blurry text??
« on: February 19, 2022, 06:27:25 am »
Probably a strange question but....... I've just decided to come kicking and screaming into the 2010s and upgraded one of my PCs to Win 8.1 64 bit (yup, I'm a true lover of Win 7!) I've just installed the 64 bit version of QB64 and noticed one really annoying thing. When I fire up QB all the text in the IDE is slightly 'blurry'. If I fire up the 32 bit version of QB64 via my NAS then the text is spot on, razor sharp. Every other program I run the text is razor sharp but not QB64 x64. Any thoughts?

I still use a (very) old Asus notebook running Win 7 and the 32bit version of QB64. It's great when I'm working away for short periods. I just chuck it in my overnight bag. Ok, it's not going to win any awards for high speed but it does the job.

I've been getting the same for a while. I thought it was just me but obviosly not. I get the same with Firefox and Chrome when viewing on my Android phones. I've just checked and it's the same with Opera.
Both phones are running Android 11 with the Nov 1 sec patch.

I've failed yet again. Get told it's not compatible with my OS. I'm running Win 7 32bit. Is there a 32 bit version?

I tried to install on my laptop today but failed. I downloaded the instal prog from the link. Put the InFormSetup.exe in the QB64 directory and run it. Got the following error message. I know I'm getting old and senile so could someone tell me where I've gone wrong please.

I'm not sure what you mean. Any chance you could give a simple demo of how to do this? If it helps, what I want to do is have an input screen with various input boxes and drop downs plus wait for input from a barcode scanner. If it gets the input from the screen prompts it keeps what is on the screen, adds 'Loading', does it's stuff then prints 'Completed'

If a scanner input is registered then is jumps to the screen for section 'B' where it reads the data from that barcode and displays it on a the new screen.

That's fine in plain QB64 but would it work the same with Inform? I haven't played around with it yet but looking at the video about creating a simple word search prog then I can't see how you would design the two screens in Inform and then integrate them into 1 QB64 prog??

Let's say you have created your screen, it's done it's bit and then you need another new screen with completely different inputs. Is that possible?

How about being able to output direct to a PDF file? I did try playing around with that but failed miserably.
