Advice? Ok. But you may not agree with or like what I suggest.
My wife will confirm this... I am terrible at multi-tasking... I too have several projects either 'in the works" or as doodles on paper... My problem is that, because I tinker on all of them, nothing of value is ever created. Imagination and focus are my two biggest hurdles.
Of all the projects that you mentioned, which on is the most fun 'for you' to work on? My advice is to focus on that one. When it's done, move onto the next, and so on...
Your path will determine how you create games. If you create games for a hobby then make games that 'you' enjoy playing. If you want to make a career out of game development, then by all means, ask others what 'they' enjoy playing. There is a saying that I like, "If you are not having fun then you are doing it wrong."
Seeing that you asked.... I like retro games. 2D platformers; Space shooters etc but I do play some older 3D stuff... DOS versions Doom, Starwars etc... So your 3D Tank game sounds interesting... Proper rendered landscape or Vector like Battlezone?
Looking forward to some screen shots or sample games... Sounds like fun..!
