About a week, or so, ago, ARB was having trouble with using an animated GIF as his forum avatar. In the end, he had to scale his image down quite a bit from the original size, before it was accepted.
Just a while ago, I went to do an update to my own profile, and found out I can't make any changes to it, for the same basic reason: my avatar -- which is working perfectly fine currently, is now suddenly unsuitable to use with my account.
When the heck did the acceptable limits change for avatar images? What are they now? If what I have now works, in its current state, how much would I need to scale to down to make it acceptable for future use? Is this something which you guys can change with a toggle of a switch, or did some update of the forum software muck with stuff?
Either way, it'd be nice if we, the user base, knew what the limits were, so we could live within the limits, without having to go through a whole series of trail-and-error scaling until we find a resolution which works.
