I have created a group that will teach a person how to write programs on the various vintage computers that are out there, I will be using the universal language of Basic , starting with the simple program that prints 'Hello World' to the screen.
Because it is in Basic, this should apply to most vintage computers, and my goal is to start with simple programming, and progress on mre difficult programming.
This group will be for the very beginner in computer programming , if you are someone who knows absolutely nothing about computer programming , I will teach you the basics that you will need to learn, this group is for you.
Why would I want to learn to write programs ? You ask, well #1, to start off with , its just to prove that you can do it, and #2 it is something to do besides whatever you are now doing on the computers.
Because everyone has computers that are 64 bit now, i will start off with a simple varient of Basic called Quick Basic 64, and teach you the basics in it, then once you have learned something in that language , because I have 40 years of programming under my belt, I can teach you how to write code for say an Atari Portfolio, a Commodore Amiga, a Commodore 64, an Atari 8 Bit computer, an Atari ST, the list goes on forever, and thats why it applies to this group.
