I don't think it fair for hero to move slower than black box enemy.

yes hero is slow, so player must work of strategy!
If we want to make better the gameplay we can decide that the speed of hero raises as soon as it becomes bigger.
But about the settings of the game, the hero can never win just because the food  is infinite and because the incrementation of hero size is very massive ( think 1 pixel for each food = 100 pixel bigger than starting size.... I have just used 2 pixel of incrementation to have a more visible effect of eating food.)

Programming isn't difficult, only it's  consuming time and coffee
