I said something different about Brother, but it's not printable here.

All is not lost. I have to change up to a higher spec printer in that range, but this experience has not been a good introduction to the Brother brand for me.

Haha, problem is that I'm doing (or, rather attempting to do) this for a friend who wants a bespoke solution for his workshop. Seems I'll have to talk him into an upgrade. I guess he can always use the old printer at home for straightforward label jobs.
