What happened to the forum? Update: Nothing.
« on: September 20, 2021, 12:03:03 pm »
We no longer have an user profile with an avatar at the top left of the screen, nor is there any sort of quick link for "Recent Unread Topics".  Is this another change to improve the user experience here, or is something broken?  Is this just something affecting me and Win 11 with Chrome, or is it a glitch for everyone?

Mine's OK, I think.

I'd think it has nothing to do with Windows 11. I use Windows 11 daily and have never spotted any issues with the forum. I don't use Chrome, however. I prefer Microsoft Edge Dev.

Here’s a photo from my ipad showing the missing stuff up top.  No avatar, no “recent posts” link.  None of that stuff.  It’s not just a Win 11/Chrome problem for me.  I’m also getting the same glitch with iOS/Opera.

Isn't that red star a new post by Qwekey?

Aye, but there’s normally an avatar up top with a link to the page here instead: https://www.qb64.org/forum/index.php?action=unread

Thanks Fellippe!  That little arrow is either new, or else I’ve never noticed it before.  Sure enough, the missing info was hiding under it!  😉

Not new. You may have just tapped it by accident.

And there’s a picture with the missing info back where it belongs, just so you guys don’t think I’m *completely* crazy.  LOL!

Silly arrow!  I blame my doggy — he was trying to sleep on the corner of the ipad while I was browsing stuff last night.  He probably clicked it, since I’ve never even paid attention and noticed it before.

Likewise, I never even knew the expansion arrow was there.   Supposed to be one of the Librarians!  I keep telling you that I have no idea what I'm doing.  QED.

With all the graphics.  I thought I stumbled upon a secret sub-forum.
