As expected, we see bplus and Steve dominating things. There is no account of how long members have been enrolled, of course. I shall want to bias Library entries somewhat along the lines of contributions, and clearly bplus and Steve are heavily under-represented at present.
-
Awesome research qwerkey - invaluable.
But no bias. We provide tools based on their utility, not on their author.
-
@STxAxTIC By utility, certainly. But the distribution will guide where to look (using our agreed rules) - I do not intend a mathematical correlation!
-
There probably won't be a correlation - we are basically an ad hoc corporation where the square root of the number of members do 50% of the total work.
-
Screw this tips and apps competition! And where the hell is my award for Mr. Congeniality?
Pete :D
-
@Pete Your award is on its way and is a romantic evening with the star of Miss Congeniality. Enjoy your time with William Shatner.

Wow! The real thing? Selling my blow up doll of Bill Shatner on Ebay, as we speak!

I am thankful my recursive program merge routine was included in INFORM. Not so flashy, but useful. I am hopeful my tested, verified and correct sorting library finds its way to QB64 samples as it will help prevent reinventing the wheel for many. Should something akin to the catastrophe that befell qb64 dot net happen, at least it will be preserved for present and future qb64 coders. But thanks for the unsung nod to my effforts. -- Codey Guy.
Also a thank you to those who contributed cool demos of qb64 power and flexibility. That Pi in the Sky demo was sorta cool. As many demos as are being posted, I think an archive of these downloadable as zip or 7z should be made of The Librarian selections. I was a bit dismayed at the gravity of loss incurred by qb64 dot net failure. What a shame all that history erased in the blink of an eye.

Errr? How the frick am i not on that list!???
-
He's Qwerkey - give him time.
Actually I've been wanting to address you Unseen - Jon is it? Been eyeballing your stuff for years and would love to feature a few things. I know that GDK is rather huge in your local universe - maybe some of our game makers would find similar potential?
If you don't mind, let us know what you want featured (i.e. whatever version of whatever project that is stable and locked in time) - just make it super-dumb-simple for us to assimilate. Make a whole new thread about yourself and your stuff; it won't be seen as vain.

See? Now you get why I deserve that Mr. Congeniality award!

Already shipped. And because you bought it at the Buy It Now price, I included a Tribble pocket vibrator, at no extra charge. Is that a tribble in your pants, or are you just happy!

That's the trouble with tribbles ... you can never be sure.

@Unseen Machine As STxAxTIC says, even though you are not on this list (as you only have one project, as yet, in the Programs section of .org), you are on my list and we definitely will feature your stuff in Samples/Games. Again to echo STxAxTIC, Qwerkey is SLOW so no timescale given.

Here's who spurs us on!
On the ".net" site I had deposited several programs.
But how can I find here my own interventions and possibly add more ?
And when we propose here to modify lines of code, or small routines?
Exemple here: Weekday Finder

What would be an interesting study is to start with Qwerkey's list pretty much, but then for each program a person made, we track who responded to the thread. Doesn't matter what kind of response - a correction, a bug report, typical Pete nonsense, anything.
If conducted, we would probably find that different clusters of us talk past each other. For instance, I'm not sure how much dialog I've had with Tempodibasic and Petr besides trivialities, whereas I've had entire lifelong discussions with Fellippe and company using threads. Of course the presence of IRC and Discord kinda skews this study.
Why aren't ALL of you on discord by the way?
-
Hi STxAxTIC,
After all, I can't blame you, that you not rejoicing for every software nonsense I add here :) You are on higher level.
I respect you all because we all have a common interest. The number of my programs that I am adding here now is low due to a lot of work on other issues. I welcome and agree to any activity that will improve the level and will be beneficial for all people moving around QB64.

Ask and you shall receive (kind of).
In the attached file is a table showing who replies to whom. Each row shows how many times the Replier has posted a message in a thread started by the Thread Starter. When the two names are the same, it's a person replying to themselves (this includes the first post in a thread). So for instance, odin as posted in threads started by FellippeHeitor 2 times, but FellippeHeitor has replied in threads started by odin 57 times.
The rows are grouped by the Replier, so if you scroll down to your name in the Replier column you'll see all the people's threads you post in.
The <Account Removed> name is where someone has deleted their account. Rows with a value of 0 excluded.
EDIT: I just hit 128 posts. Powers of 2 are always so satisfying.
EDIT2: The qb64_cross_replies_sorted.txt file has the same data but sorted by the number of replies.

No problems, ill have the time to actually finish something for once! I don't make that many programs, just small demo's to show/create new library features/tools.

Damn! Now i've opened my mouth i suppose i'd better man up! I'll put something together over the next week or so...
Thanks folks,
John
