IDE Font Size in Ubuntu or Linux Mint
« on: August 11, 2020, 06:50:21 pm »
I heard some people asking how to modify the size of the IDE font in order to be bigger and clearer.
  • Copy/Get the lucon.ttf. I think it is the best font for the IDE. You can get this font from the Windows/Fonts repository of any current version of Windows or from free repositories in Internet
  • Put the lucon.ttf in the same directory of your QB64 setup
  • Go to the Options | Display menu in QB64
  • Check on Custom Font check box
  • On the File name text box write "./lucon.ttf" (without the quotes)
  • If your screen is FHD, try the font size 35 in the Row Size (pixels) text box
  • Click OK
Your IDE should be big enough to be clearly readable.

Optionally, you can go to the "internal" folder inside your QB64 setup and edit the config.txt file. There, you will be able to edit the values of IDE_CustomFont, IDE_CustomFonts and IDE_CustomFontSize to set the previously stated values. In both cases, is expected to put the lucon.ttf font in the QB64 folder.

I hope this helps.
