Title: Off Topic only giving me DISCORD
Post by: Richard on January 23, 2021, 06:12:39 pm
I just tried to go to Off Topic BUT I get the DISCORD screen.

Anyone else have this problem?

I'll go and check, but FYI, the server was doing a database update a few hours ago.

Edit: Just checked. It redirects to Discord for me, too.

Somebody got fed up with off topic.

And a quick quote of the important part of that link:

...we do not have an off-topic board anymore.

Really bad move in my opinion. What not have both? If people want to use Discord they can but it should be an option. I won't be using it :-(

Off-topic posts can be made at the QBasic Community Cafe: https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/qbasic/qbasic-f1/ to register, and the Community Cafe: https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/qbasic/the-community-cafe-f183705/

Keep in mind I keep the site active mostly as an archive of all past QBasic projects, and the original QB64 forum, prior to it moving to [abandoned, outdated and now likely malicious qb64 dot net website - don’t go there]. If anyone wants posting access to other than the Community Cafe, they have to request it after registration.

No one is obligated to use Discord. We thank you all for keeping it on topic here. Since Pete offered an alternative, this topic is being closed.
