Title: The New Design
Post by: Kernelpanic on November 14, 2020, 07:28:07 pm
The forum's new design is so elegant - I was wondering if I should take out my suit. Really!
Really elegant - could be in front of me. -;

What is still missing is a "cafe" for this and that. If it comes, this is a first comment for it. :-)

I like it!

Maybe that's better for first (Sorry):

While I don't take credit for designing it, I do take credit for choosing it. STxAxTIC and Spriggsy helped me tweak it too.

Glad you guys are enjoying it.

It has been set as default for new users and is still optional for everyone currently active.

I'll repeat the instructions in video below, if anyone wants to switch:

Fellippe, please try this, if the same problem as here occur:

If i am logged in, then theme is white.
If i am logged out, then theme is black.

Used Google Chrome.

Hi, Petr.

The new dark theme has been set as default for new users. Existing users have to opt-in for it. Check the short video tutorial above.

Fillippe,

This may sound like a silly question... Once the new theme is in place, can the user 'tweak' some of the colours or is it 'hard coded'?

Hard-coded. I suppose there are extensions that allow you to customize a site's css locally, but I wouldn't know to recommend one.

Dark theme now set as default. Anyone willing to go back to light theme can take the steps shown in the video below, but choosing the previous theme instead:
