Title: QB64 REPORT S01E05: "Images and Sounds"
Post by: FellippeHeitor on July 30, 2020, 12:47:36 am
In this episode you'll hear about the QB64 commands used to load and display images and also to load and play audio files.

This is a hybrid episode. Here's the link to the YouTube companion video, which showcases the techniques being discussed:

Well I learned something.  I've been totally ignorant of _SNDPLAYCOPY.  I should have used that in my drummachine instead of _SNDPLAY which clips the instrument sounds when playing them close together. _SNDPLAYCOPY will make them (especially the cymbals) sound natural playing.  I'm going to update the drummachine right now.

Thanks for all that you do for the QB64 community, Fellippe.

Thanks Fellippe - I have shied away from images and sound but they seems a lot easier to handle in a program then I thought they were. However, I must admit, a variable name of "pew&" had me thinking there would be an odour generated. Ah, the smell of a dank, damp dungeon.
