Barely remember how I ended up down this rabbit hole...
Cyberbit is the font packaged with QB64. I was wondering if there was a reason this font was packaged rather than any alternatives?
Seems Cyberbit stopped being updated in 1998 and actually isn't entirely a free license.
Curious if any other fonts have been considered? For example, Google's Nova fonts which are under a standard SIL Open Font License?
Just curious!

We've actually been discussing in Discord about its removal.

I'll ask the same question here that I asked in discord: Does anyone use it?
-
I think I have because it was something I knew would be portable to another OS.
-
It's mainly there as it's an oooooooold monospace unicode font, and it was one of the few which Galleon had to choose from to package with QB64 back at the start of the project. It's purpose is for folks who might need such a font for use with the extended code pages in Display/Language, or for use with _MAPUNICODE.
Personally, I'd like to see it removed and replaced with one about half its current size. It's old, outdated, and I have no idea why the heck it has to be as large as it is!

Ah! Another of life's little mysteries answered. Thanks to David for asking the question.

Personally, I prefer to use fonts other than ciberbit. I'm sorry I'm unable to fix some cuts fonts characters. It's beyond my knowledge.

Thanks for the responses! Glad to hear that cutting it is under consideration.
