Title: Old Program my Uncle Made
Post by: Patrick_coots on November 01, 2019, 01:57:18 am
back in the day, my father and uncle (Keven coots) would make programs. and post them to forums (possibly Pete's), well one day my uncle got tired of making libraries by hand, so he coded a program that did it automatically. it quickly won program of the year on the forum. and got thousands of downloads. i found references to it all the way up to 2014.
but sadly my uncle killed himself around 2006-07, so i post this to keep his memory alive

Hi Patrick,

I, myself, am not a huge fan of libraries though when using QB45, I used them all the time.

QB64 has a slightly changed structure for using .BI files now with .BM though I've heard they can have any extension now. Also, the whole DECLARE's section isn't needed for QB64 code, I don't think. So a little demo in QB64 would be pragmatic to show the old code still works.

Are you QB fan? have you tried QB64?

It is nice gesture to honor your Uncle and what I suppose is one of his great loves.
